Answer To Lara Question
Kandy-CSR
Lara,
No you can not replace liquid with powdered pectin, even though they are both a form of pectin they are still very different. There are differences between the amount you need to add to the recipe and the amount of sugar you need to activate the pectin to create the gel form. Some recipes call for the liquid version to be added at the last minute of cooking time or after you have removed it from the heat. When you use the powdered version, you have to add it then boil for a certain period of time just to get it to activate.
